The converter has a sigma delta modulator (MSD1) for receiving an analog input signal (x(t)) at a summing stage (SOM) where the output of a digital/analog converter (CNA) is subtracted from it. The modulator includes a filtering unit (MF) including a high-pass filter (FPH) whose cutoff frequency is equal to half of the sampling frequency (Fs) of a quantization unit (QTZ). The high-pass filter is designed to remove low frequency noise and preferably includes at least one block comprising a resonator and a variable-gain amplifier.
