<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of customizing functions such as setting or displaying job lists in accordance with the usage method or preference of users, modifying the job lists based on types of work of the user. <P>SOLUTION: When user authentfiication is established between an image forming apparatus and an external device using each user ID, the image forming apparatus sends the job lists to the external device.
