<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of improving workability during maintenance of a dust-proof glass provided on an optical scanning unit. <P>SOLUTION: A printer comprises a writing device 55 for deflecting and scanning a laser beam on a photoreceptor surface and a dust-proof glass 35 provided on a laser beam emitting port 71a of the writing device 55, and allows the dust-proof glass 35 to be freely drawn to the outside of a device body 100 from a drawing port 67a formed on a body side plate 67. The printer includes a drawing member 38 that can freely move to a drawing direction of the dust-proof glass 35 via the drawing port 67a and that draws the dust-proof glass 35 from the device body 100 in association with moving to the drawing direction.
