<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component monitoring device which prevents a use of an imitation component by monitoring whether or not a component to be attached to a work machine is a regular component. <P>SOLUTION: A work machine 2 has a plurality of replaceable components 3 and each component 3 is provided with a radio tag 4. A component ID is preliminary stored in the radio tag 4. A control device 1, when detecting a time of a component replacement and a time of a start-up of an engine (1A), obtains the component ID stored in the radio tag 4 (1B) and compares the obtained component ID with the component ID stored in component ID storage means (1C).
