<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, method and interface to provide personalized retrieval and information access. <P>SOLUTION: This system includes a user model that decides characteristics of a user. The user model can compose contents, activities and entire contexts of the user automatically through analyses of them. A personalizing component automatically changes a query and/or a retrieval result by taking the user model into consideration in order to personalize user's information retrieval. A user interface receives the query and displays the retrieval result from one or more local and/or remote search engines.
