Dimming of light operating devices to pre-defined levels

The method involves evaluating an output signal of a motion detector (1) connected to a supply voltage (4), where the motion detector outputs the supply voltage as an output signal depending on the detection of a motion. An electronically controlled light unit control device is adjusted to one or a set of defined dimming levels depending on the output signal of the motion detector. The output signal of the motion detector is detected in a control input of the control device, where the control input is separated from the supply voltage of the control device. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program product for executing a method for controlling an electronically controlled lighting control device (2) a system for controlling an electronically controlled lighting control device.
