LIGHTING DEVICE, ILLUMINATION DEVICE USING THE SAME, ILLUMINATION SYSTEM, AND LIGHTING FIXTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device having improved lighting control efficiency while allowing reduction in size and thickness thereof, an illumination device using the same, an illumination system, and a lighting fixture.

SOLUTION: The lighting device comprises: a power supply part 4 that converts DC power from a DC power supply 1 into a desired DC power and supplies lighting power to a light source part 3 composed of an inorganic LED element or an organic EL element; and a control part 7 that feedback-controls the power supply part 4 so as to make load current flowing in the light source part 3 constant. The power supply part 4 includes a first switching element Q1 connected in parallel to the light source part 3 and a second switching element Q2 connected in series to the light source part 3, and is composed of a chopper circuit that supplies lighting power to the light source part 4 by switching on/off of the respective switching elements Q1 and Q2 according to a drive control signal from the control part 7. The first switching element Q1 is a semiconductor switching element formed of a wide-gap semiconductor.
