Provided is a radar device which maintains low range-side lobe characteristics even when a measurement target is moving, and inhibits the deterioration of separation performance when detecting multiple targets. A high-frequency transmission signal is transmitted from a transmission antenna at prescribed transmission intervals, and the signals of reflection waves reflected by a target are received by a reception antenna. Code generators generate a first code sequence and second code sequence that constitute a pair of complementary codes. A first modulator generates a first transmission signal by modulating the first code sequence. A second modulator generates a second transmission signal by modulating the second code sequence. A quadrature modulator uses the first and second transmission signals thus generated to perform quadrature modulation. The high frequency transmission signal is generated from a signal subjected to quadrature modulation, and transmitted from the transmission antenna.
