IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND PRINTING CONTROL METHOD

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print out preventing decrease of the legibility of characters printed on a front side of a printing paper when printing additional data such as an advertisement is printed to a rear side of the printing paper.

SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 equipped with the double-sided printing function of printing front and rear both surfaces of the printing paper stores beforehand the printing added data which is composed including character data and image data. When acquiring original data for printing to the front side of the printing paper, the image forming apparatus 1 distinguishes a character region and an image region included in the original data. Front surface printing is carried out on the basis of the original data. Rear surface printing is carried out by arranging the image data included in the printing added data to a position corresponding to the rear side of the character region in the original data, and arranging the character data included in the printing added data to a position corresponding to the rear side of the image region in the original data.
