PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce resistance force unrelated to burying of a cable, reduce required burying machine tractive force, and easily secure a desired burying depth. SOLUTION: A burying machine 10 has both side sleds 1 and the intermediate excavator 2. First water injection nozzles 11 are arranged on the bottom surface of the sleds 1, and second water injection nozzles 12 are arranged on a front face of the sleds 1. When burying a submarine cable by towing the burying machine 10 by a towing wire 4, since the second water injection nozzles 12 of the front face of the sleds 1 remove earth and sand 6 of the front face, earth removing resistance force F2 reduces. The first water injection nozzles 11 of the bottom surface of the sleds 1 reduces frictional resistance force F4 between the sleds and the bottom of the sea. Then, since the resitance forces F2, E4 unrelated to burying of the cable reduces, burying machine tractive force F1 reduces. Thus, the desired cable burying depth can be easily secured.
