A method for purification of aminonaphthoic acids, prepared by the amination corresponding hydroxy naphthoic acids, consists in mixing of contaminated material and acetone, insoluble fractions are isolated and acetone solution reacts with inorganic acid to form insoluble inorganic acid salt. The insoluble slat is dissolved in an aqueous solution of inorganic base and subsequently an insoluble aminonaphthoic acid with purity above 95 % is released in water by acidifying. |
