<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately measure the generation amount of jaggy. <P>SOLUTION: The method of measuring a jaggy generation amount includes: reading an image by moving an image reader in an image reading apparatus in a moving direction to acquire image data for each representation color; acquiring binarized data obtained by binarizing the image data for each representation color for each representation color; specifying the presence/absence of an image for each pixel for each representation color on the basis of the binarized data for each representation color, and determining a boundary of the image; determining an inclination of the image for each representation color with respect to a crossing direction that crosses the moving direction, on the basis of the determined boundary of the image; determining a deviation amount in the crossing direction for the inclination of the image with respect to an average of the inclination of the image for each representation color; multiplying the deviation amount for each representation color by a coefficient corresponding thereto, and combining the deviation amount for each representation color multiplied by the coefficient; and determining a standard deviation of the deviation value on the basis of the combined deviation amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
