<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a recovery rate of residual foamy fixing liquid or the like. <P>SOLUTION: Cleaning means 43 for removing a residual foamy fixing liquid, which is a foamy fixing liquid not imparted to a recording medium 114 as an object for imparting the fixing liquid, but depositing on a coating roller 40, is disposed in a downstream side than a nip of the coating roller 40. The cleaning means 43 removes the residual foamy fixing liquid or toner from a roller surface of the coating roller 40 and once stores the liquid or the toner in a storage space of a storage casing 45. A fin 46 is moved in a width direction, which is a direction perpendicular to the surface moving direction of the roller surface of the coating roller 40 so as to push the residual foamy fixing liquid or the toner in the storage space to one end of the coating roller 40. Then the fin 46 is pressed to a wedge blade 47. The residual foamy fixing liquid or the toner depositing on the fin 46 is scraped by the wedge blade 47.
