PORTABLE RADIATION IMAGE DETECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable radiation image detector capable of suppressing a rise in the surface temperature of a contact housing with an examinee in addition to the temperature rise of FPD even in the case of long-time operation without losing handleability.

SOLUTION: The housing 26 of an electronic cassette 13 comprises two housings of a main housing 28 in which the FPD 30 is housed and a sub-housing 29 in which a battery unit 27 for feeding power to the FPD 30 is housed. The sub-housing 29 is connected to the main housing 28 in a freely revolvable manner at one end part thereof through a hinge 31 and arranged at a housing position in a state that one end part on the side opposite to the hinge 31 of the sub-housing 29 approaches the main housing 28. The sub-housing 29 is revolved on the hinge 31 in a direction wherein one end part on the side opposite to the hinge 31 is separated from the main housing 28. By this constitution, the heat transferred to the main housing 28 from the sub-housing 29 is reduced.
