<p>The invention is a drive for an electric vehicle with a drive shaft composed of two shaft units which are assigned to one another. Each shaft unit is coupled to an electrical drive motor. According to the invention, the two drive motors 1a, 1b are designed as asynchronous slip ring rotors with reversible poles and each with the same operational specifications. The slip rings of the drive motors 1a, 1b are connected to one another in conductive fashion at the rotors by means of an electrical differential 9 with the same phase angle. The speeds of rotation of the drive wheels 2a, 2b are sensed with rotational-speed sensors 4a, 4b and communicated to a second comparator 8. The output of the second comparator 8 is connected to a first input of the electrical differential 9, and the output of a first comparator 10 is connected to a second input of the electrical differential 9. The invention makes it advantageously possible to control the supply of energy to the drive wheels with minimum losses, as a result of which an economically optimum drive is obtained. A further advantage consists in the fact that the elimination of the shifting of gear mechanisms which is necessary in conventional vehicles results in a high level of driving comfort.</p> |
