<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image gloss controller by a cooling and peeling method for preventing the decrease of the gloss of a fixed image by making it possible to closely hold a recording medium and an endless belt for imparting the gloss and to provide a fixing device and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an endless belt 1 stretched on a plurality of rollers 2a, 2b and 2c; a pressure roller 3 coming into press-contact with the two rollers 2a and 2b through the endless belt 1 to form a nip portion N through which the recording medium on which a toner image is fixed passes; non-contact thermistors 5a and 5b detecting the surface temperature of the endless belt 1; a heat source 2h heating the endless belt 1 based on the detection results of the non-contact thermistors 5a and 5b at a nip portion entrance N1; and cooling devices 4a and 4b cooling the endless belt 1 and the pressure roller 3 in an intermediate nip portion N2 formed in such a manner that the endless belt 1 between the two rollers 2a and 2b forming the nip portion N and the pressure roller 3 are brought into close contact with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
