<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravity power generation apparatus which dispenses with the construction of a large dam or the like. <P>SOLUTION: Both ends of a plurality of buckets 2 are continuously connected to each other via a chain or a V-belt, and the buckets are installed in an endless chain manner on sprockets arranged at upper and lower two places. Water filled from above the bucket is received as a weight to generate a rotational force. The rotational force is once received by a worm gear so as not to be returned, and boosted in 4-5 stages to turn a generator.
