<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap which can be easily opened, from which contents do not spill out, even if containers have a large mouth, and a container using the cap. <P>SOLUTION: The cap includes a circular top and a cylindrical side face and is engaged with a lip of the container. On the surface of the circular top, two linear grooves, which can be broken, are provided symmetrically and in parallel such that their lengths are from a circumferential edge over the center of the top. On the outer surface of the cylindrical side face, the two grooves of the top are extended in a vertical direction up to a lower end. A part sandwiched by the two grooves, which is provided on the side face, is extended downward from the lower end of the side face, so that a knob is formed whose lower end projects outward. On the inner surface of the side face, engagement projections engaged with the lip of the container are provided on the same circumference. On the outer surface of the cylindrical side face, two flanges are provided on two opposite positions in a vertical direction with respect to the direction where the grooves are extended on the top, and on positions of both back faces of the two flanges, no engagement projection is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
