<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat radiation efficiency and rainfall measurement precision in a rain gauge employing a heat sink and a heater for heating a water receiving plate. <P>SOLUTION: The rain gauge includes a funnel-like water receiver having a conical part and a tubular part protruded from a top of the conical part and a water filter installed right under the water receiver. The rain gauge further includes: a main heat sink installed right above the water filter in such a manner that the tubular part of the water receiver is passed through the main heat sink; an auxiliary heat sink having a base disposed on an upper surface of the main heat sink in such a manner that the tubular part of the water receiver is passed through the base, and a tongue which is protruded from a side edge of the base and folded to be confronted with the conical part of the water receiver; and a resistor heater disposed on an upper surface of the base of the auxiliary heat sink at a side edge where the tongue is not formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
