Wire winding method for annular core with centre aperture

The process uses a magazine (16), passing through the annular core (12) centre aperture (14), onto which the wire is wound from a storage roll, with the free end (20) as winding start, is passed, together with the magazine, through the centre aperture prior to the coil formation. During a continuous rotation of the annular core about its vertical axis the wire is uniformally wound onto the core, while the magazine maintains its position. After forming a winding layer the rotation direction is reversed and thus a full wire layer is wound on the formed wire layer, while the winding start piece remains accessible through the winding layers.
