The insert plate (105) is inserted into an inner container (109) in storage unit (10) of ice dispensing device and provided with passage openings (106) for enabling fall of ice pellets. A support element is attached to the insert plate which is vibrated by mechanical force or ultrasound vibration so as to move the ice pellets to the openings. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) ice dispensing device; and (2) ice dispensing method.
