PURPOSE: A cap for an airtight container is provided to enable users to obtain the perfect air shutoff state using the pressurizing force of a packing, and to enable users to easily release the pressurized state. CONSTITUTION: A cap for an airtight container comprises the following: a cap body(10) combining with a mounting stand(20) on the lower side for fixing a packing(2) on the outer circumference of the mounting stand; an operation stand with a pressurizing wall combining with the cap body for pressurizing the upper side of the packing, fixed to an elevation button(40) inserted into a through-hole(11) of the cap body; a release button ring(50) combining with an insertion groove(12) of the cap body to be elastically supported by a spring(40a), and releasing the jamming condition of the elevation button; and the elevation button including a jamming piece(42). The operation stand is elastically supported by the spring.
