<p>PURPOSE: A device and a method for warning a dead space of a vehicle are provided to display a warning light on a side mirror by detecting objects in a side dead space of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An object detecting unit(1) senses an object located on left and right sides of a vehicle. A controller(2) senses an object by an object detection unit. If an object is located in a dead space, the controller controls the display unit for warning. The controller determines whether the object is positioned in the dead space or not by calculating the distance to the object. The display unit(3) is installed in the side mirror and warns a driver of an object detected in the dead space.</p> |
