<p>The fitting has a function unit (3) comprising water-carrying components, and accommodated in a housing body. The housing body comprises two shell-shaped parts (1, 2), which are manufactured from metal alloy or plastic in die-casting process. The shell-shaped parts are adhesively bonded to each other or connected to each other by a material bonding to form a hollow element that surrounds the functional unit by joining process. The shell-shaped parts comprise cast aluminum alloy and exhibit joining edges (11-13, 21-23) provided with respective profiles. The cast aluminum alloy is selected from a group consisting of aluminum die-cast alloy and zinc die-cast alloy. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a sanitary fitting.</p> |
