MANUFACTURING PROCESS OF BRAKE DRUM

PURPOSE: A manufacturing process of brake drum and a brake drum manufactured by the same is provided to reduce weight of a vehicle by making a frame of a vehicle with an aluminum material of light alloy. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing process of brake drum comprises the next step. A brake braking side and a housing are welded at a temperature of 500°C or greater when a housing(2) of Al-Si-Mg and a brake surface of grey cast iron are combined. Residual stress is removed from the grey cast iron when the brake braking side is heated at 600°C. In the casting process of the brake braking heated at 600°C, the housing of Al-Si-Mg is casted at 700~800°C in order to induce the combining between the housing of Al-Si-Mg and the brake surface of grey cast iron.
