<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial fan improved in intake efficiency and a slide die employed for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: An axial fan comprises an impeller and a housing 10 including at least one plan part at an outer peripheral surface 11f thereof and a sidewall 11 surrounding the outer periphery of the impeller. The sidewall 11 includes a slit group 110 formed of a plurality of slits 110a-110h which are arranged in a peripheral direction of the inner peripheral surface thereof and mutually passes through from the inner circumferential surface to the outer circumferential surface thereof in the same direction substantially perpendicular to the plan part. In the slit group 110, the number of slits positioned to a front side in a rotating direction R of an impeller from a contact E of a tangent G on the inner peripheral surface orthogonal to a through direction T of the slits 110a-110h is larger than the number of slits positioned from the contact E of the tangent G to a rear side of the rotating direction R of the impeller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
