<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a route through driver's operation after branch determination even if the branch determination is wrong. <P>SOLUTION: A branch determination device includes current position calculation means 10 of outputting current position information and branch road information, road surface paint recognition means 20 of recognizing road surface paint information on a road and outputting branch line crossing information, driver's operation detection means 30 of detecting driver's operation information, and branch determination means 40 of determining whether a local vehicle enters a branch road or not based upon the current position information, branch road information, branch line crossing information, and driver's operation information. The branch determination means 40 includes first branch determination means of determining branching based upon the branch line crossing information and second branch determination means of determining branching based upon the driver's operation information, and determines the branching by the first branch determination means and the second branch determination means when the current position calculation means determines that there is a branch road in front of the local vehicle from the current position information and branch road information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
