<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a vehicle capable of lengthening the service life of an endless transmission member, by restraining the deterioration in the endless transmission member. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU sets tension T to T1 by passing an electric current to a coil of a belt tensioner when determining that an ignition switch is turned ON (YES in Step S11). Next, the ECU sets the tension T to T=ANe<SP POS="POST">B</SP>+C (Step S14) by changing an electric current zsupplied to the coil of the belt tensioner when determining that a starter is turned ON (YES in Step S13).
