METHOD OF ANALYZING PARAFFIN EMBEDDED SAMPLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deparaffinization method useful to mass spectrometric imaging from a paraffin-embedded sample.

SOLUTION: The deparaffinization method includes the process of: exposing a biological sample by exposing a sample having the biological sample embedded in paraffin to an organic solvent which is mutually compatible with paraffin under a heating condition, and melting and dissolving the paraffin in the organic solvent; and removing the paraffin from the sample by separating the organic solvent in which the paraffin is dissolved and the exposed biological sample.
