<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain generation of an abnormal sound in a moment when a cylindrical roller is repelled away, by relieving concentration of bearing pressure generated by the cylindrical roller, when releasing a lock state of an output shaft. <P>SOLUTION: The clutch unit includes a lever side clutch part arranged on the input side and controlling the transmission-cutoff of rotational torque to the output side by lever operation, and a brake side clutch part 12 arranged on the output side, transmitting input torque from the lever side clutch part to the output side and cutting off inverse input torque from the output side. The brake side clutch part 12 includes the output shaft 22 for outputting torque, a brake side outer ring 23 for restricting rotation, an inner ring 15 for inputting the torque from the lever side clutch part and a plurality of pairs of cylindrical rollers 27 stored in pockets 15e<SB POS="POST">1</SB>and 15e<SB POS="POST">2</SB>of the inner ring 15 and controlling the transmission of the input torque from the inner ring 15 and the cutoff of the inverse input torque from the output shaft 22 by engagement-separation in a wedge clearance 26 formed between the brake side outer ring 23 and the output shaft 22.
