PURPOSE: An automatic train operation control system which uses a railroad image and a control method thereof are provided to control train operation by analyzing the railroad image recorded through a railroad system installed along a railroad on a real time basis, thereby improving train safety. CONSTITUTION: An image recording part(110) records a railroad(2) image. A railroad communication part(150) transmits the railroad image, a railroad image analysis result, and railroad system information to a train system. A railroad database part(170) stores the railroad image, the railroad image analysis result, and the railroad system information. A railroad controller(140) controls the operation of the railroad database part, the railroad communication part, and the image recording part. The railroad controller transmits the railroad image received through the image recording part to the train system. |
