<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air purification element including a gas-liquid contact member where electrolytic water and air are brought into contact and which is highly resistant to active oxygen such as ozone, is suitable for cost reduction and favorably brings electrolytic water such as ozone water and air into contact, and an air cleaner incorporating the air purification element. <P>SOLUTION: The air purification element includes: ball bodies formed of a material highly resistant to active oxygen; and a container which has a size for storing the ball bodies in the horizontal direction as well in the state in which the ball bodies are piled up in the vertical direction, and is formed of a material highly resistant to the active oxygen so as to make the air pass through. The air which passes through the container is brought into contact with the electrolytic water flowing down the surface of the ball bodies, and the air is sterilized and deodorized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
