A device for heating rolls by magnetically controlled arcs comprises a burner and an electromagnet with a U-shaped magnetic core. The electromagnet is mounted downstream from the burner. Infusible electrodes are located between the poles of electromagnet and are spaced by a distance not more than 0.5 of the electrode radius. |
