Provided are a mobile communication system and a communication method whereby an efficient scheduling can be performed when a base station apparatus notifies a mobile station apparatus of a plurality of downlink control information formats in the same subframe and/or during a particular time period. A mobile communication system comprises a base station apparatus and a mobile station apparatus. The base station apparatus notifies the mobile station apparatus of a plurality of downlink control information formats, which include at least one downlink control information format including an instruction to transmit a sounding reference signal and also including a parameter of the sounding reference signal, in the same subframe. The mobile station apparatus transmits the sounding reference signal, which has been established on the basis of the parameter, to the base station apparatus if the plurality of downlink control information formats include a given downlink control information format that includes the instruction to transmit the sounding reference signal and that also includes the parameter of the sounding reference signal.
