摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the formation of a catalyst disappearance layer in a catalyst electrode layer constituting a cathode. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel battery system includes a fuel battery having a fuel battery cell having a membrane electrode assembly comprising an electrolyte film and catalyst electrode layers formed on both surfaces of the electrolyte film, first resistance detection means of measuring AC impedance of the fuel battery cell in a power generation environment of the fuel battery and detecting a first resistance value of the catalyst electrode layer constituting a cathode, and second resistance detection means of measuring AC impedance of the fuel battery cell in a power non-generation environment of the fuel battery and detecting a second resistance value of the catalyst electrode layer constituting the cathode. When it is determined that the first resistance value detected by the first resistance detection means is larger than a first reference resistance value preset before the first resistance detection means is actuated, the second resistance detection means detect the second resistance value in a state in which the fuel battery is in the power non-generation environment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
