PURPOSE: A method for receiving an SMS(Short Message Service) in a dual mode terminal and a device thereof are provided to enable a dual mode terminal to receive an SMS. CONSTITUTION: A first wireless communication unit transceives a signal from a CDMA(Code Divisional Multiple Access) communication network. A second wireless communication unit transceives a signal from an LTE(Long Term Evolution) communication network. A processor(1010) processes a signal received from the LTE communication network and a signal received from the CDMA communication network. The processor sets time information of an SMS to which an error average is reflected as time information of an SMS received from the LTE communication network.
