PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information measurement instrument and information measurement method capable of performing communication by changing over communication systems in accordance with the communication system of a communication partner.SOLUTION: An information measurement instrument for performing communication with an electronic apparatus includes: an antenna; a communication section for performing communication by a first communication system and a second communication system via the antenna; a mounting detection section for detecting whether the information measurement instrument is mounted or not; and a control section for performing control to perform communication with a first electronic apparatus by the first communication system when the mounting of the information measurement instrument is detected, and to perform communication with a second electronic apparatus by exchanging the system into the received communication system when an indication to perform communication by the second communication system is received from the first electronic apparatus.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
