PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device allowing simplification of the structure.SOLUTION: A steering device 1 includes: a lock mechanism 18 for fastening a section 28 to be fastened of an outer jacket 12 by fastening members 32 and 34 via a bracket 17 according to an operation of an operation member 20; and an energy absorption unit 40. The energy absorption unit 40 integrally includes: a friction plate 41 interposed between the fastening members 32 and 34 and the bracket 17; a connection section 42 connected to the friction plate 41; an engaging section 43 which is integrally and movably engaged with an inner jacket 11; and an energy absorption section 44 which is interposed between the connection section 42 and the engaging section 43 so as to absorb impact energy during a secondary collision.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
