The method involves forming a reference level for an evaluation based on output signal of an associated rectifier (4A-4C) during reception of the prepattern signal. Given transmission duration of the prepattern signal is extended over minimum end duration required for forming the reference level. Three LF-amplifier circuits (3A-3C) are repeatedly activated and switched off in the energy savings mode such that two of the LF-amplifier circuits for a minimum of an end time corresponding time period are continuously activated within any time window of duration of the prepattern signal.
