<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protection device cover structure that facilitates confirmation whether a connection member connecting a cover member is fully connected to a vehicle body side. <P>SOLUTION: An occupant protection device 3 is provided, which includes a roll bar 4 provided at a back side 2a of a vehicle seat 2 and projecting toward an upper part of a vehicle body when predicting or detecting an overturn of a vehicle 1. A connection member 10 is provided, which connects a cover member 5 disengaged accompanying the upward movement of the roll bar 4 and a connected member 8a and retracts the cover member 5 toward the rear side of the vehicle by the side contact with the roll bar 4. A button member 13 fastened to the connected member 8a provided at the vehicle body side and a tag member 16 including a separation part 17 having a separation direction in conformity with a direction for releasing the fastening are provided at an end of the connection member 10. The force when separating a tag piece body 18 from the connection member 10 via the separation part 17 is smaller than the full fastening force of the button member 13 and larger than half fastening force of the button member 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
