<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the re-expansion volume of remaining working fluid for improving the volumetric efficiency by reducing the weight of the remaining working fluid in a compression chamber at the top dead center position of a piston. <P>SOLUTION: In a reciprocating compressor, a recess part 25a, which expands in a diametrical direction, is provided in a front end surface 24 of a piston 16 so that compressed working fluid 3, which is placed near an inner peripheral surface of a compression chamber 13, is guided to a discharge hole 19 and smoothly discharged from the discharge hole 19. As a result, the volumetric efficiency and efficiency of the compressor is improved by reducing the weight of remaining working fluid 3 and suppressing the re-expansion volume of the remaining working fluid 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
