APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INPUTTING CHARACTER

PURPOSE: A character input apparatus and character input method using the same are provided to enable a user to effectively input characters without hiding the character from a finger by decoupling a graphic area where the character or a character group is displayed from a touch area. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(110) displays a touch area which senses a touch signal and a graphic area which displays a character or a character group. A display control unit(120) displays one character among the characters included in the character group according to a touch type sensed by the touch area. An input unit(130) establishes the character displayed at the established location as an input character. When the character group is located at the established location according to a sliding direction, the display control unit displays the characters at the graphic area.
