<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technologies for visualizing blood vessels so that a doctor can observe the three-dimensional run of fundus blood vessels in the ocular fundus. <P>SOLUTION: A fundus image display apparatus includes: a specifying means for specifying a boundary position of the retina layer in the fundus image indicating the tomographic image of the retina; a distance transfer function setting means for setting a distance transfer function for converting the distance from the specified boundary position to a parameter indicating the degree of opaqueness so that the peak of the degree of opaqueness is located at a prescribed position within the retina; a luminance transfer function setting means for setting a luminance transfer function for converting the luminance of the fundus image to the parameter indicating the degree of opaqueness; and a visualizing means for calculating the degrees of opaqueness of the respective positions in the tomographic image using the distance transfer function and the luminance transfer function, and generating a translucent display image by the volume rendering process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
