<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that can achieve cost reduction while preventing moving image blurring. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel and a backlight unit. The backlight unit includes a light guide plate 10 having a rectangle shape in plan view and light source units that emit light toward light entrance faces corresponding to side faces of the light guide plate 10, and the light source units include a plurality of light source blocks arranged in a Y direction. The light guide plate 10 includes a groove structure part 32 for guiding light upward on a front face opposed to a back face of the liquid crystal panel and a dot pattern 31 for diffusing light on the back face. The groove structure part 32 includes a plurality of groove portions extending in an X direction in stripe form, and a ridge portion extending in the X direction is provided at an area interposed between two adjacent groove portions of the groove portions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
