#CMT# #/CMT# The machine tool has base (11) and pillar (12) that are provided for movably supporting the tool and workpiece fastening devices in orthogonal directions. Z-axis and X-axis position detectors (30,36) and Y-axis position detector detect position of the fastening devices to control objective movement positions of the fastening devices. XZ axis and YZ axis position detectors (51,54) include two sets of scales and reading units to detect position of the fastening devices so that movement of the fastening devices is controlled. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Machine tool. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The position of the tool and workpiece fastening devices can be detected precisely even if the supporting devices of the position detectors are subjected to deformation.
