<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the size of recording paper from being changed in the middle of one print job by feeding the recording paper of an optimal size to an image of an undefined size. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus has a plurality of storage stages for storing paper, and forms an image on the paper according to image data by selectively feeding the paper from the storage stages. In the image forming apparatus, the size of the paper is designated in the fixed size or the undefined size. The length of its length and breadth is also designated as a user-defined size on the undefined size. The free size of not designating the length of the length and breadth is further designated on the undefined size. The image forming apparatus feeds the paper of the user-defined size when there is the paper of the user-defined size corresponding to the length of its length and breadth expressed by image data when the image data have the undefined sizes, and feeds the paper of the free size when there is no recording paper of the user-defined size corresponding to the length of its length and breadth expressed by the image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
