PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platform-independent information processing system, a platform-independent communication method and a computer program therefor.

SOLUTION: In the platform-independent communication method which concerns communication between a device and a server in a service system, data and an application are stored and executed by a plurality of computing systems in an internet. The method includes a step for transmitting a selected application request to the server by the device, and a step for transmitting a graphic image which displays execution of the selected application to the device by the server in response to the request.
