<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact steering device for vehicle superior in durability that is hardly affected by a radial load loaded to a turning axis. <P>SOLUTION: Rotation of a rotor 26 of first and second electric motors 21 and 22 is converted into movement in an axial direction X1 of the turning axis 6 by a ball screw mechanism 23. A ball nut is screwed via a ball 34 to a screw axis 31 provided in part of the turning axis 6. A rotor core 27 surrounds the ball nut and moves with the ball nut in the axial direction. The rotor core 27 and the ball nut are connected by an oldham joint 38 to enable torque transmission.
