A rolling bearing which is configured so that, in order to prevent the quality of vacuum on the vacuum side from degrading and the pressure on the vacuum side from varying, mist and particles are not produced. A rolling bearing used in a power transmitting device for transmitting power, such as rotational power, is configured in such a manner that a magnet for retaining a lubricating magnetic fluid at the portion of the rolling bearing which is to be lubricated by the lubricating magnetic fluid is provided to at least one side of the outer ring of the rolling bearing and that a ring-shaped yoke consisting of a magnetic material and loosely fitted on the rotating shaft is provided on the opposite side of the magnet from the outer ring. |
