<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion compensation apparatus which performs motion compensation on a plurality of target images by using resultant of motion estimation between a single target image and a single reference image. <P>SOLUTION: The motion compensation apparatus 1 comprises representative image generation means 10 for generating a representative image D from among a plurality of target images T<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, T<SB POS="POST">2</SB>,.., T<SB POS="POST">N</SB>, motion estimation means 20 for accepting inputs of a reference image S and a local region L<SB POS="POST">k</SB>set in the reference image S and obtaining motion vector information between the representative image D and the reference image S by obtaining a corresponding region R<SB POS="POST">k</SB>in the representative image D corresponding to the local region L<SB POS="POST">k</SB>, and image deformation means 30<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, 30<SB POS="POST">2</SB>,.., 30<SB POS="POST">N</SB>for shifting or deforming the target images T<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, T<SB POS="POST">2</SB>,.., T<SB POS="POST">N</SB>based on the motion vector information and outputting the result as motion compensation images C<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, C<SB POS="POST">2</SB>,.., C<SB POS="POST">N</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
